Why "Stars of the Pacific" Opera Gala?
The “Stars of the Pacific” Opera Gala is more than just a major historical concert event.
Prior to the Gala, the Samoan Opera Stars will visit local high schools to meet and speak with youth about classical music, Opera and their personal journeys. While these Samoan Opera Stars are well regarded in the global classical music industry, they are virtually unknown among our own Samoan people and youth.
The Gala will be the culmination of their community outreach visit, bringing Samoans together for a night of music, while providing hope and inspiration to youth. The Gala is the biggest single event to take place in American Samoa in three challenging years of restrictions, and will bring with it an influx of visitors and Samoan pride.
